The weather cut things short on Tuesday as the ACGC baseball team fell to Woodward-Granger on the road 5-1 in five innings.

The Chargers were warming up for the bottom of the fifth when umpires pulled both teams off the field because of lightning in the area. Teams tried to wait out the weather, but ultimately the game was called at that point.

ACGC jumped out to a lead in the first inning when Newell Rogers reached on an error and scored on a passed ball. Woodward-Granger answered in the bottom half when Pacey Moats scored on a balk.

The two teams played even until the bottom of the third when Woodward-Granger was able to put four runs on the board to take the lead for good.

ACGC now has just two games left in the regular season. Next up will be a visit to Orient-Macksburg on Friday.
