The Linden Smoke Off will take place on the 4th of July in Linden. The Smoker competition with Chicken & Pork will start at 5:30 p.m., in the city park. There is a $50 entry fee or participate for fun by judging, there will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. A car show will take place on Main Street in Linden from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the parade will start at 11:30 a.m. The horseshoe contest will start at 10:30 a.m., with a $5 entry fee. Bingo begins at the Lyons Club at 1 p.m., the After Hours Band will perform live at the city park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m.
