The Greene County Chamber and Tourism Board is continuing to transition itself toward the future.

The Board is currently led by interim president Ian Wilkinson of Wild Rose Casino and Resorts. The former president Lisa Kuhl stepped down earlier this year due to personal reasons. The other officers are Treasurer Pete Russell and Secretary Jill Morton. Morton says while Wilkinson has a full plate, the other board members are willing to step up.

“We’re all picking up and running with him (Wilkinson). So if somebody needs something or something needs to be done, all we have to do is put out the word to one of our board members and it gets done. It’s a nice group of people. I’ve really, really enjoyed being a part of the Chamber Board.”

Morton adds, board members also work together to accomplish different Chamber-related tasks. 

“We’re workers. We’re willing to roll our sleeves up and work. People will see that this next year, and how things are coming around and we’re willing to work for it.”

The other board members include Mike Holden, Jill Johnson, Mike McLaughlin Jr., Philip Heisterkamp and Greene County Supervisor Pete Bardole is an ex-officio.
