After spending Monday and Tuesday in the extreme heat on the diamond, West Central Valley can enjoy practices and plenty of A/C for the next nine days, as the Wildcats have only one day left on their regular season schedule, before postseason play begins.

WCV spent Monday night in Des Moines, playing at Saydel, and last night at Panorama.

The Wildcats put, arguably, their best, full game performance together last Thursday.  West Central Valley picked up a 2-0 win at Earlham, splitting a doubleheader with the Cardinals.

Cole Arnburg threw a shutout, striking out 16 Cardinals, and giving up just one hit in seven innings of work.

West Central Valley Baseball will get to enjoy Independence Day with their families, before getting back out and practicing on Friday.

The final regular season game for the Wildcats is next Thurday, July 11 at Winterset.
