Despite the struggles that ADM has fallen victim to in the past week, the Tigers still earned the top spot in their Class 4A Regional Bracket.
ADM will face the winner of Newton and Bondurant on July 13 in Adel.
On the other side of the bracket, in the #2 spot, sits #11 ranked Norwalk. ADM bested Norwalk just a couple weeks back on a game winning, 2RBI single by Olivia Tollari.
Norwalk also received a bye, and will face the winner of the Oskaloosa/Grinnell contest. Should ADM and Norwalk both win their games on July 13, the two teams will meet for a rematch in Adel in the Regional Final on July 16, with the winning team punching their ticket for the State Softball Tournament in Fort Dodge.
The Tigers have competed in arguably the toughest conference in 4A Softball across the state. ADM, along with three other teams all found themselves in the Top 15 in last week’s rankings. Carlisle, ranked #1, Ballard #9, and Winterset #14.
