Jodi Doty’s ADM Softball team, struggled in the early going of the week.  The Tigers dropped their #1 ranking in the 4A Softball standings, and also dropped a pair of games in the first two games of the week.

ADM fell to Winterset 2-1 back on Monday, and played a doubleheader with Carroll in Adel on Tuesday, splitting the games with Carroll.  The Tigers dropped the opening game on Tuesday, 1-0, and picked up the nightcap 6-3.

Hitting for the Tigers has been inconsistent over the past couple of weeks.  Fatigue and consecutive games on consecutive days has taken its toll.

ADM Softball will be hosting the Chariton Chargers tonight in Adel, a non-conference match-up for the Tigers.  The southern Iowa team comes into Adel with just two wins on the season, as Centerville and Coon Rapids-Bayard have been Chariton’s only wins this year.

ADM and Chariton will get Varsity action underway tonight at 7:15pm on the Tigers home diamond.
