The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday.

The meeting began with the Council approving the purchase of two Toro mowers from Panora Auto Parts for $21,350, and a 2012 Ford F350 truck with a utility box or a similar truck with a cost not exceeding $27,000. The Board then approved setting July 8th as the public hearing date for a proposal to enter into a general obligation corporate purpose loan agreement to borrow money not exceeding $317,000. This bond would be used to pay for improvements to the municipal waterworks and sanitary sewer systems, and purchasing a police vehicle, and previously mentioned mowers and truck. Finally, the Council directed City Administrator Lisa Grossman to draft new language for the downtown enhancement committee to add a sixth member that would come from the library board, for which Grossman said the committee is in favor.
