This year marks the 100th anniversary of a Panora business, and residents and history buffs are invited to attend a free program on its service to the community.

Panora Telco Technology Development Director Curt Thornberry will be giving an educational presentation on 100 Years of Panora Telephone Service this Saturday from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Guthrie County Historical Village and Museum in Panora. First incorporated in 1919 and becoming a cooperative in 1961, the Panora Cooperative Telephone Association serves over 2,000 customers in the county. Thornberry has done extensive research on this topic, and this event is free and open to the public.
