U.S. Representative Cindy Axne will be visiting four counties in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District today, including two in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

Axne will pay a visit to Springbrook State Park Saturday morning to speak with Guthrie County Conservation about their recreational activities, and she will also do some kayaking in the area. Following that, she will head to the annual DeSoto Fun Days Celebration to take in the festivities from 12:30-1:15 p.m. She will wrap up the day with two “Connect with Your Congresswoman” events outside the listening area, with one meeting in Winterset and the other in Norwalk. The morning event at Springbrook is not be open to the community, but the public is encouraged to attend the other three.
