Perry Lutheran Homes is excited to present their second annual “Run Through Time” event, which is coming up very shortly.
PLH Director of Marketing Mollie Clark gives some of the details of this year’s run. “So we’re really excited to bring this back for a second year, we had a lot of fun the first year, and it’s just a great time. It’s a 5K fun run, or walk, or roll even if you need to. So it’s going to happen on Saturday July 6th at 7 p.m., and it’s kind of in conjunction with all the other great events that are going on for the 150th Celebration of Perry.”
Clark says there will again be music playing throughout the route, which will begin and end at Caboose Park. The tunes will be provided by Raccoon Valley Radio, and will span several decades of popular hits. Additionally, participants are encouraged to wear costumes depicting their favorite period of time. The cost to participate is $35 per person, though kids age six and under can run for free. All proceeds will go towards Perry Lutheran Homes and their StepUp! Program, as well as to the weekly senior fellowship meal at the McCreary Community Building. Registration can be done online between now and the day of the race, though Clark says you can sign up in person prior to the event.
