The City of Adair is celebrating the 64th Annual Jesse James Chuckwagon Days this Friday and Saturday, with this year’s theme “A New Bridge to Opportunity.”

Events include an ice cream social, kids parade and talent show, bags tournament, 5K Fun/Run, parade, beer garden, other kids activities, bingo, a water balloon fight, car show, and a street dance. Adair Chamber of Commerce President Nettie Payne encourages people to come to the festival this weekend, “I think the Chuckwagon Days is always an annual tradition for friends and family to get together and see what the residents have been up to in Adair, to see the town and just get that sense of community. Small towns just have that special bond and they have a good time and (know how to) throw a party. And so we do want people to come out, see what’s going on in Adair and come have fun, there’s something for everyone.”

Several of the events are being organized by Adair Fire & Rescue, who will be celebrating the grand opening of their new fire station at 5:30 p.m. Friday. For a full schedule of events, visit here.
