The initial event in this summer’s Rock’N Friday series presented by the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce was postponed last month due to weather, but that just means the community will have three concerts to enjoy in a 30-day period.

This Friday, the Chamber will be hosting the first musical event of the summer, featuring the band Red Dirt Renegade. The concert scheduled for May 17th featuring Nice Bangs will instead happen on June 28th. Just a few weeks after that on July 19th, the third event of the summer will be held, with a performance by Ducharme Jones. The last Rock’N Friday of the year will take place on August 16th, offering music from Brick and Bob.

Each of the events will be held from 7-10 p.m. at the Adel Stage and Pavilion, located on the northwest corner of Main and North 10th streets. Each concert is free and open to the public, thanks to local sponsors. The June 21st show is presented by BigDeal Car Care, June 28th by Raccoon River Rentals, July 19th by Blue Oak CPA, and August 16th by Raccoon Valley Bank. The Chamber reminds attendees that alcoholic beverages are permitted at the shows, but they ask that people not bring glass bottles and keep drinks confined to the pavillion area.

The summer concert series is part of the Chamber’s new “Adel Advantage” campaign, which seeks to help residents and businesses discover the diverse advantages of living, working, and playing in the City.
