The Guthrie County Veterans Memorial Committee is hosting another retro fundraiser event.

The committee is hosting a Sock Hop on Friday, June 14th from 7-10 p.m. at the Stuart American Legion/Rec Center. There will be games, trivia, and prizes for best ‘50s or ‘60s costume. Popcorn and pop will be available for purchase. This is a freewill offering event, with proceeds going towards the last granite wall to be erected at the Guthrie County Veterans Memorial in Guthrie Center. The committee plans on erecting four walls that will display submitted names of Guthrie County veterans who were honorably discharged. For more information call Trudi Tam at 641-757-0709.
