The 40th annual Bell Tower Festival in Jefferson is this Friday through Sunday and there’s still time to get involved in the action.

Those interested in competing in the Bill Riley Talent Search can register in two age divisions. There is a sprout division for ages 2-12 and senior division for 13-21-year-olds. Cash prizes will be given to first through third places in each division, with the top spot in each qualifying to compete at the Iowa State Fair in August. The event will take place at 5pm Saturday on the Plaza Stage, south of the Greene County Courthouse.

It is free to enter the contest, and those who want to compete can get a registration form by emailing Coordinator Tori Riley at news@greenecountynewsonline.com or calling 515-370-3087. Forms must be submitted to Riley by email or to the Greene County Chamber and Tourism office.  

Due to scheduling conflicts, the Cook Off Contest has been cancelled this year, but plans are being made for next year.
