The Stuart Revitalization Group is continuing their work to enhance the community with their inaugural “UnWine” Downtown event next week.

Those 21 and older will get to stroll around several downtown businesses, sampling different wines and appetizers. The walk will start at D & G Automotive where attendees will get their wristband and a map of participating locations. You can also purchase a souvenir wine glass for $20. Stuart Chamber of Commerce President Kristy Lonsdale says the participating businesses are welcome to have special promotions as well, “But we’ll have a list and it will list the kind of wine at each location, a little bit about where the wine is from and a little bit about it and what food they’re serving. When we’re all done we are going to do a drawing for a really nice gift basket that’s going to be made up and depending on how many we have we might give away two baskets.”

The event will be held rain or shine from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 7th, with music to follow at The Pocket Park on Northwest 2nd Street. You can order your souvenir glass at Stuart Appliance or the Stuart Herald, and they will be available for purchase while supplies last at the event.
