The high school girls’ soccer season for Greene County ended Tuesday night on the artificial turf at Carroll Athletic Field against Kuemper Catholic. The Rams had three wins this season, their second of having a high school girls’ soccer program, but both meetings with the Knights this season resulted in shut out losses. The Rams lost 9-0 in the opening round of Class 1A regional play, and being shut out was something that happened too frequently for Coach Marilyn Tasler’s team. The Rams were blanked nine times this season and Greene County scored just 11 goals during their 3-13 season. The Knights advance with 14 wins against just four losses.

Coach Tasler told Raccoon Valley Radio it may not seem like it, but she felt the Rams played well defensively on Tuesday night.
