Don’t forget, today is Memorial Day, and public entities throughout Dallas County are closed in observance of the holiday.

In Perry, all City offices, the water works, the public library, and the McCreary Community Building will are closed. Additionally, Monday’s garbage routes will be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday’s routes will be moved to Wednesday. As a result, there will be no yard waste pick up on Wednesday, and it will return next week with pick up on the south side of Willis Avenue.

In Adel, the City Hall and the public library are closed for Memorial Day, though the garbage collection routes will not be affected. Also, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse, Department of Motor Vehicles, and drivers license station are closed today in observance of the holiday. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions throughout the County are closed. Everything will reopen tomorrow, unless otherwise specified.
