Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Highway 141 and Willis Avenue in Perry Thursday afternoon, following a two-vehicle wreck.
The incident happened before 4 p.m. and involved a car and SUV. Both vehicles suffered extensive front-end damage indicating it was a head-on collision, though the exact circumstances of the wreck are currently unknown. Dallas County Emergency Medical Services Director Mike Thomason told Raccoon Valley Radio that ambulance crews responded, though they didn’t transport anyone to the hospital so there were no serious injuries involved. The airbags in both vehicles were deployed.
As crews cleaned up the wreck, travel on Highway 141 was slowed to one lane in either direction, with the Perry Fire Department helping with traffic control. Both vehicles were cleared from the road and traffic was back to normal by 4:20 p.m. The Perry Police Department and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the wreck. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
