On Monday night, the season ended for the West Central Valley Boys’ Soccer team, as the Wildcats fell at the expense of North Polk in the first round game of the District Postseason bracket.
The Wildcats finish the roller coaster season with a record of 7-10 on the season. A season that never saw just one win followed by just one loss. It was a year of streaks for Jon Boss’ club as West Central Valley lost three straight to start, followed by four straight wins, another five consecutive losses, and then another three straight wins, before losing their final two games of the season.
The Wildcats will graduate just one Senior from their 2019 team, with the core of the squad returning in 2020. The Boys’ Soccer program seemed to take a step in the right direction this year, with more wins this season than they concluded with in 2018, when WCV finished with a 6-9 record.
