The West Central Valley Baseball team opened their season on Monday night at Glidden-Ralston in less than favorable weather conditions. Monday night was cold, windy, and just unpleasant baseball weather.

The temps were cold, and so were the bats of the Wildcats, as West Central Valley struggled making contact and only mustered up two runs in their season opener.

Cole Arnburg, the WCV Senior Standout Athlete, started the game on the mound for the Wildcats, and in 3 and 2/3 innings of work, Arnburg threw 10 strikes outs against the 13 batters he faced.

West Central Valley will look to shake off their loss on Monday, as the Wildcats will prepare for the Roadrunners of Interstate 35 High School from Truro, as WCV will host I-35 in their home opener tonight. Tonight’s Varsity Doubleheader will begin with the first pitch at 5:00pm.
