Greene County played in a Class 3A girls’ golf Regional Tournament Monday at Carroll Country Club. The Rams were last in a 12 team field with 519 strokes for the 18 holes. Coach Shawn Zanders was missing some players and the Rams played just five instead of the usual six. Senior Mariah Block led the Rams with 60-48=108, and junior Ellie Madson was next at 56-55=111. Freshman Alex Miller shot 57-63=120, and sophomore Faith Hankel was at 97=83=180.

Coach Zanders told Raccoon Valley Radio Block’s 48 on the back nine was a season and personal best. Miller’s front nine 57 tied her season and personal best.

Gilbert’s Britta Snyder was medalist at 71, winning by nine strokes. The Gilbert and Carroll teams advance to the State Tournament.
