The Adair County Health System invites the community to check out their new facility in Greenfield.
They are hosting an open house for the Havens Building from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15th. The building started operations on April 25th and houses the Senior Life Solutions program, an outpatient program for those over the age of 65. The health system began its partnership with the national company in 2016, and this new building will allow the program to expand its services.
Marketing Coordinator Tiffany Johnson describes Senior Life Solutions’ services,“What they do in that department is they are geriatric and mental health, they help with emotional well being of our senior population. So they do group therapy, individual therapy. So this just gives them a space to kind of have privacy, and also the building was designed with a healing environment in mind with the colors and decorating and everything.”
The Havens Building is dedicated to Delores and John Allen Havens, and is located at 601 SE Kent Street. Delores worked for the Adair County Health System for over 50 years and now serves as a volunteer. The open house is a come-and-go event, and light refreshments will be served.
