A reminder: the annual Dallas County Toddler Fest is happening today, and the County’s 12 libraries invite families with young kids to learn about services available to them.

The event is co-sponsored by the Dallas County Library Association and 4RKids, and is being held from 10 a.m. – noon at the Fairgrounds north of Adel. Activities include face-painting, balloon creations, a petting zoo, crafts, and photo opportunities with characters from Pixar’s “Toy Story” franchise. Several businesses and organizations with services specifically for young children and their families will also show attendees what they have to offer. Additionally, each child at Toddler Fest will receive a free book.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio returns to the event, as we will broadcast live, play music, and provide public address services. There is no cost to attend Toddler Fest, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early in order to get to each activity offered.
