Tuesday, April 30th
12:22am: A caller requested an officer in the 500 block of East Lincoln Way Street for a Domestic Issue occurring between her and her boyfriend. The officer arrived and spoke to both parties involved in a verbal argument. The officer worked to mitigate the issue and the couple went to separate rooms for the evening.
4:16am: The GCMC requested a Welfare Check on a female in the 300 Block of West Lincoln Way Street, who may have taken an overdose of medication. The officer arrived and called the Greene County Ambulance to transport the female to ER to be checked out.
11:35am: Officers assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at 777 Wild Rose Lane with a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
12:10pm: The Greene County Elementary School requested an officer at 401 East Russell Street for Disorderly Child. The officer spoke with the child and assisted staff in calming him down.
3:08pm: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the 200 Block of South Chestnut Street. A 2011 Jeep Compass, owned by Joshua Derry and operated by Cheree Derry both of Jefferson, backed from a parking spot and backed into a parked trailer. The 2001 Morris Trailer is owned by Dallas Chargo of Scranton. The trailer received a reported $100.00 in damages, while the Derry vehicle had a reported $300.00 in damages. Citation for “Unsafe Backing Upon Highway” is pending at this time.
4:39pm: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at Chestnut and Wilcoxway. A 2010 Dodge Caravan, owned by the Greene County School District and driven by Mona Weltz of Jefferson, was northbound on Chestnut Street. A 2016 Kia Sorento, owned and operated by Vicki Copeland of Jefferson, left the posted Stop Sign at Wilcoxway and Chestnut and was struck by the school vehicle. The school district vehicle suffered a reported $5000.00 in damages. The Copeland vehicle had a reported $7000.00. Copeland was cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”
8:52pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Drive. All was secure at the facility.
