The ACGC girls golf team competed at the West Central Activities Conference meet held at Pleasantville on Monday.

The girls did not receive a team score as only three suited up for the Chargers. Junior Kena Baier led all Chargers with a total score of 114, finishing in 17th place individually. Freshmen Morgan Lemke and Alyssa Byars also competed for the gold and black, finishing their rounds with 126 and 127 strokes respectively. Van Meter won the team title by a commanding 59 strokes over 2nd place Ogden. Van Meter’s Kylie Carey took the individual title with a score of 77.

The girls also competed at the Woodward-Granger Invitational last Thursday afternoon. The Chargers finished in a tie for 3rd as a team, but placed 4th after slipping behind Ogden on a tiebreaking fifth golfer. Baier was once again the top shooter for the Chargers, placing 7th with 104 strokes. Byars was second among all Chargers with 109 and junior Jessica Stringer was third with 111. Lemke and senior Anna Klingenberg rounded out the scoring with 121 and 131 respectively.

ADM won the team title with a score of 428, while Woodward-Granger’s Cierra DeHoet claimed top individual honors with a 90. Next up for the girls is a dual with Perry on Tuesday.
