The Heart of Iowa Activities Conference boys’ golf tournament was shortened to nine holes on Tuesday from the scheduled 18 due to constant rain at the Tournament of Champions Course near Polk City. Greene County shot 219 and finished in last place. Nevada won the tournament with an outstanding score of 143. PCM had 164 with 170 from Gilbert, 172 by North Polk (Alleman), Roland-Story (Story City) 184, Saydel (Des Moines) 185, South Hamilton (Jewell) 187, followed by the Rams.

Ram coach Heath Telleen reports Jadon Block led the Rams with a 51. Sawyer Schiltz shot 53, while Caden Telleen shot 55, with Jacob Rohner and Cody Gilbertson both at 60.

Medalist for the meet was Nevada’s Kyle Linder at 35, and the Cubs had three others at 36.
