Track & Field, Soccer, and Golf, are all on the Greene County High School sports schedule today. Just one event is on home turf.
Coach Marilyn Tasler’s girls’ soccer team plays in Grand Junction at 5:30 p.m. vs. PCM (Monroe). The Rams are 2-5 and are coming off a pair of 10-0 losses last week vs. Class 1A number 5 Gilbert and number 6 Nevada. PCM is 1-4 and neither team has done much goal scoring, as both average less than one goal per match.
Coach Carl Behne’s boys’ soccer team will try to get back in the win column at Monroe vs. PCM at 7 p.m. The Rams are 6-1 after fall 2-1 to Class 2A number 8 Gilbert last Thursday in Grand Junction. Greene County is ranked number 6 in 1A.
Both Greene County track & field teams head to Alleman for the North Polk Coed Invitational at Alleman starting at 5 p.m. The Rams had six events at the Drake Relays late last week and had a pair of top eight finishes. Junior Carter Morton was sixth in the boys’ high jump and sophomore Brianna Osterson was seventh in the girls’ long jump.
The girls’ golfers go to the River Valley Course north of Adel to face ADM at 4 p.m.
