Jadon Block shot 37 for the Greene County High School boys’ golf team on Thursday at the Woodland Hills course at Des Moines. The round was his career best for nine holes and he earned medalist honors. Coach Heath Telleen told Raccoon Valley Radio, “I am very happy for our boys. Jadon played an exceptional round, shooting one over par 37. I can’t say enough about Jadon’s growth this season. He has all the tools to do some incredible things.”
The other Ram scores counting in the team totals were Cody Gilbertson and Sawyer Schiltz, each with a 48, and 53 from Caden Telleen.
The Rams were fourth in the four team meet, but the 186 they shot was by far their best total of the season, according to the coach. “We hope to build on this momentum and keep improving.”
North Polk (Alleman) won with 164, followed by South Hamilton (Jewell) 172, and 180 for Saydel (Des Moines).
