The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.
The meeting began with the approval of the annual weed notice from Weed Commissioner Jim Uthe. He said the State Legislature had made changes to the noxious weed list, which named Palmer Amaranth as the most serious threat, though the weed currently has not been located in Dallas County. Next, the Board approved five right-of-way easement purchase agreements for the Secondary Roads Department for a total of $3,166.50. The easements were needed for two separate bridge replacement projects near Perry.
The Board then went into a closed session to discuss purchase of particular real estate. The meeting concluded with a workshop with new Human Resources Director Beth Deardorf. The Board set some goals and expectations for her moving forward, and also assessed her first couple weeks on the job.
