A Jefferson woman had her probation revoked and was sent to prison for a recent incident.
According to court documents, 25-year-old Hayley Brown violated her three-year probation sentence with pending charges from an incident that happened on March 20th. Court documents show that after Brown was arrested at the law enforcement center for violating her probation. While she was there, she threw items in her pockets at the jailer, which created an unsafe mess in the jail and on the jailer. The items were inspected and two were found to be drug-related. Brown was charged with a felony for possession of contraband in a correctional institution, a serious misdemeanor for second offense for possession of marijuana and a simple misdemeanor for assault.
Brown was convicted last year from two August 2018 incidents of two felonies for theft and possession of a firearm by a felon. She was sentenced to three years of probation for the felonies and court documents show, she had her probation revoked and District Court Judge Joseph McCarville imposed a five-year prison sentence for Brown.
