Today is a busy day for West Central Valley High School Athletics. The Wildcats will have four programs in action today. The Boys’ and Girls’ Track teams will be competing this afternoon in Van Meter, while the Boys’ and Girls’ Golf teams will be playing at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone today.

Both the Boys’ Golf and Boys’ Track teams have had strong season’s so far. The Golf team is led by Sophomore, Grant Caltrider. The Track team has been led by Cole Arnburg, who has shattered numerous school records this season, including his older brother’s record in the 200 meter dash on April 4 in Van Meter. Besides leading the Boys’ Track team, Arnburg is, WCV Boys’ Golf Coach, Dave Doely’s number two leader, behind Caltrider.

The Track and Field Invitational will start at 4:30 this afternoon in Van Meter, while the Wildcats’ Golf teams will start at Cedar Pointe Golf Course this afternoon in Boone at 4:00 as they face AC/GC and Madrid.
