The public is invited to a groundbreaking ceremony of the new high school and career academy for the Greene County School District.

This will be the official kick-off to the $35.48-million project to build a new high school, career academy, gymnasium and performing arts center west of American Athletic Incorporated/Spaulding on south Highway 30 in Jefferson. Henkel Construction is the contractor of the project, and work will begin to have the precast concrete walls in place before this fall. The projected date of completion for the high school and career academy is August 1, 2020, the gym is August 15th, with the auditorium to be done by October 1st.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 11:30am Monday, April 15th at Grimmell Road and Highway 30.
