After a fast start with three events in January, the Perry Chamber of Commerce has seen less activity with ribbon cuttings since. That’s about to change, though, as they are hosting two such events in a matter of days.
The first will be tomorrow to welcome a new business to Perry: Quality Auto and Body. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti invites the community to help the new automotive repair shop celebrate their grand opening with help from the giant scissors. The oversized shears will then travel to Woodward Monday afternoon to help unveil the new corporate offices of longtime Chamber member Minburn Communications. Pasutti feels the ribbon cutting events are great because they’re a way the public can actually see the expansion of the Chamber. “We’ve had a number of brand new businesses, (and) some new Chamber members. So just having that significant number of ribbon cuttings, that’s really exciting for the community. And it’s very visible for the community to know that we have new growth happening, so that’s exciting to be a part of.”
The ribbon cutting for Quality Auto and Body will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m., and the business is located at 2633 Willis Avenue in Perry. The Minburn Communications event will be Monday at 4:30 p.m. at their new office located at 100 South Main Street in Woodward. The public is encouraged to take part, and there is no cost to attend.
