An organization is helping those impacted by last month’s floods in southwest Iowa.

The Greater Greene County Presbyterian Ministry is hosting a Pancakes for People Flood Relief event this Friday. Pancakes and sausage will be served at the Paton Community Center from 5:30 to 7:30pm for a free-will donation. Organizers encourage everyone to rally around those affected by the floods in our state and they believe that Greene County residents have been able to show up in great numbers and help those who are suffering get back on their feet.

Anyone who donates can choose from a list of three organizations they want their donation to support.  Those organizations are: Mills County, Iowa; Fremont County, Iowa; and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, which helps with flooding in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. Checks can be made payable to those groups and all proceeds will go directly to those flood victims in southwest Iowa.
