Great weather brought out the best in Greene County High School track & field athletes on Monday at Carroll Athletic Field for the Carroll Coed Relays. The Rams had a combined 19 season or personal best performances including three Greene County school records for the seven seasons competing as Greene County, and one all-time boys’ record for a Jefferson-based boys’ program was tied. Junior high jumper Carter Morton cleared the bar at 6′ 8″, not only winning the event, but breaking a meet record, breaking his own school record, and tying 2004 Jefferson-Scranton graduate Keith Pedersen for the best jump ever by a Ram. Junior Colby Kafer won the long jump for boys with a Greene County school record distance of 20′ 11-1/4″.
