The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today.

The meeting will begin with updates from new Human Resources Director Pam Lane and Public Health and Environmental Health Director Jotham Arber. Next, County Attorney Brenna Bird will discuss County fireworks permits and a revision to the fireworks permit form pursuant to state code. The Board will then consider a resolution in support of Marsy’s Law in Iowa, and a resolution increasing county jail fees. Sheriff Marty Arganbright will give an update on the jail project. The Board will also consider a resolution from County Engineer Josh Sebern on noxious weeds, and consider approval of the secondary roads budget for the Iowa Department of Transportation as well as the five year program. The Board will review the Iowa Municipal Works Compensation Association Insurance and 2020 property and liability insurance with Becky Benton of State Street Insurance. Finally, the Board will schedule a public hearing for the fiscal year 2019 budget amendment and review the third quarter of the fiscal year 2019 budget report.
