An assortment of free activities are happening this coming week at the Adel Public Library.

On Monday from 6-8 p.m., the library will be welcoming Don and Diane Kramer from Dyersville, Iowa, as they will be presenting a program called “Our Neighbors, the Amish.” The event will teach people all about the Amish culture prevalent in eastern Iowa, including their belief system and everyday lifestyle. The activities will continue Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., with the weekly adult coloring group meeting in the conference room. On Wednesday, the Brown Bag Book Club will meet from noon – 1 p.m. New members are always welcome, and you can check out the book for the month at the circulation desk.

Finally, on Friday from 5-6:30 p.m., the library invites teens and tweens to take part in an egg hunt around the building, with treats and prizes for all attendees. As a reminder, the Adel Library will also have their weekly young children events each day from 10:30-11 a.m., with “Wee Sing” on Monday and Thursday, “Wee Read” on Tuesday and Wednesday, and “Wee Play” on Friday. Each of the activities is free to attend and no registration is required. To learn more, stop into the library, or visit their website, AdelPL.org.
