Soccer is a rather new sport to the Activities Department in the offerings of extra cirricular activties for the West Central Valley School District.

Building new programs takes time, patience, persistence, and a lot of hard work. Every program, new or established, goes through a rebuilding season, at some point.

Last season, the West Central Valley Girls’ Soccer team, under a sharing agreement with Nodaway Valley of Greenfield, went 7-9 on the season. This year’s Girls’ team is already above the .500 mark after their season opening game this week, defeating Greene County 4-0 in Stuart.

For the Boys’, last season the Wildcats went 6-9 for the season, but West Central Valley was 6-5 before slipping up and dropping the final four games of their season. The Wildcats got off to a rough start in their 2019 campaign, dropping their season opener in Bondurant by the score of 10-0.

Head Coach, Jon Boss, and his Boys’ team, along with Girls’ Head Coach, Mike Krazyck, and his team will travel to East Sac County High School in Lake View for their game on Monday, in a Boy/Girl Doubleheader. The Girls’ game will start at 5pm, followed by the Boys’ at 7 o’clock.
