The Greene County girls’ soccer team lost to West Central Valley in Stuart last night, 4-0. It was the first match of the season for Coach Marilyn Tasler’s Rams, who trailed 3-0 at halftime. The coach told Raccoon Valley Radio the second half was a lot better, holding the Wildcats to just one goal after intermission. The Rams scored just 10 goals all last season and were shut out to begin 2019.
It’s the season opener for the Greene County boys’ soccer team tonight. Coach Carl Behne’s Rams go north to Humboldt to face the Wildcats at 5 p.m. Greene County was 10-9 a season ago, their first with their own soccer program.
