A reminder: U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren will be visiting Perry today, as she brings her campaign for President of the United States to central Iowa.
The second-term Democratic Senator for Massachusetts will be at a meet and greet event at La Poste. She is in the midst of her second trip to the state ahead of the 2020 Iowa Caucuses, and today’s event is her first visit to Dallas County. The Perry Area Democrats are hosting the event, which is free and open to the public. The doors at La Poste will open at 3 p.m. today, and Warren is scheduled to speak starting at 3:30.
Warren announced her intentions to run for the Democratic nomination for President in February, and is currently one of 15 officially declared candidates. She is the second so far to visit Perry, along with former Congressman John Delaney, and third to visit Dallas County, after Senator Cory Booker’s visit to Waukee earlier this month.
