The weather in Earlham was in perfect form, as were the athletes and competition at the 2019 Early Bird Invitational.

Boys’ teams at Earlham included ADM, Ankeny Christian, Earlham, Grandview Christian, Madrid, Panorama, Southeast Warren, and Van Meter were the opponents for the WCV Boys’ Track team.

The Wildcats saw impressive efforts again from Louden Foster in the 3200 meter run, and Cole Arnburg in the 400 meter dash, which was a welcome sight to Boys’ Coach, Eric Addy, as Tuesday was the first day of competition for the WCV Boys’ Track team.

Individual Top 5 finishes for the West Central Valley Boys’ include, fourth place for Jon Kalbach in the shot put, Louden Foster was second in 3200 meter run and third in the 1600 meter run, Cole Arnburg was, also, second in the 400 meter dash, and first place for Arnburg in the 200 meter dash.

The Boys’ also finished Top 5 in the following relay events, second in the 800 meter sprint medley, third in distance medley, fourth in the 4×200 relay, fifth in the 4×400 meter relay event.

The West Central Valley Boys’ Track team will be back in action on the road at East Union on Saturday.
