Mary Hughes, age 63 of 14001 Buena Vista Dr., Urbandale was traveling in the 16000 block of Old Highway 6 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $1500.00.

Jessica Marisol Ortiz, age 18 of 1719 Warford St., Perry was cited and released at 801 Court St., Adel for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kyle Peter Hess, age 41 of 1895 SE Oxford Dr., Waukee was cited and released for abandonment of cats and dogs.

Scotty Lee Hays, age 28 of 1209 W 2nd St., Perry was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for violation of a no contact order hearing.

Kathleen A Specht, age 59 of 1420 Maulberry, Des Moines was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of public intoxication and assault on person in certain occupations.
