The Greene County High School boys’ soccer season starts in just two days. Coach Carl Behne’s Rams will travel to Perry on Saturday for the Blue Jays’ Invitational. Lewis Central of Council Bluffs and Des Moines North are also in the field. This is season number two of soccer for the Rams. The boys had a top 15 ranking last season, a winning season, and Brazilian foreign exchange student Leo Marques was one of the top goal scorers in the state.

Coach Behne talked to Raccoon Valley Radio about the Rams. “I think everyone’s excited about the fact we played well last year and gelled well very early on and continued to build. We started 6-1, won a postseason game, the first in program history. We set some conference records with Leo and the goal scoring, so last year really did set the foundation for us.”

The Rams won’t open at home in Grand Junction until April 9 vs. Grand View Christian.
