Friday, March 15th
12:46 pm: Officers responded to 104 North Locust Street for a dog running loose. Sandra Groves was issued a citation for, “Animals Running at Large.”
3:35 pm: Officers assisted the Ft. Dodge Police Department with attempting to locate a female originally from Ft. Dodge. It was asked to check her welfare as she had been missing for 1 day. Ft. Dodge authorities “pinged” her cell phone which indicated it was near Jefferson. The female was later located by Ft. Dodge authorities.
3:58 pm: As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection Madison and South Elm Street, Annette Ganoe of Grand Junction was issued a citation for, “Fail to Display Registration Plate.”
4:49 pm: As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Vine Street and East Lincoln Way, Travis Busch was issued a citation for, “Fail to Wear a Safety Belt.”
Saturday, March 16th
6:10 am: Officers responded to 1000 West Washington Street (The Gardens) for an active fire alarm. The officers determined there was a glitch in the alarm. The officer deactivated the alarm and maintenance employees with The Gardens were notified of the issue.
6:29 am: Officers responded to 300 American Avenue (Syngenta) for a burglary alarm. Officers determined it was an employee who accidently activated the alarm.
8:36 am: As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of South Vine Street and East Lincoln Way, Jonathan Stephenson of Farnhamville was issued a citation for, “Violation of Financial Liability Coverage.”
1:25 pm: Officers assisted a stranded motorist at the intersection of West Lincoln Way and Grimmell Road.
2:42 pm: As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Locust and East Lincoln Way, Steven Eggert of Grand Junction was issued a citation for, “Violation of Financial Liability Coverage.”
3:01 pm: An officer located an abandoned vehicle parked in the middle of the intersection of South Olive Street and East Harrison Street. The owner, Tyler Armstrong, was located at 203 South Olive Street. He advised he had parked the truck on the side of the street. He advised the emergency break had not been working properly and the vehicle must have rolled into the intersection.
4:32 pm: Scott Foresman reported a possible fight occurring at Head Park in the 700 block of West Head Street.
5:22 pm: Lori Lohman reported a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on 230th Street traveling westbound into Jefferson. An officer located the vehicle but it was not violating any traffic laws.
8:19 pm: An officer responded to the 1000 block of West Washington Street to assist the Greene County Ambulance with a Medical Call.
Sunday, March 17th
5:00 am: Officers responded to the 500 block of West Madison Street for a Barking Dog Complaint.
11:39 am: Officers responded to the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane to assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a Medical Call.
11:47 am: Officers responded to White Oak Gas Station (303 North Elm Street) for a report of a juvenile attempting to purchase tobacco with a driver’s license that was not hers. An officer is investigating.
2:30 pm: Amelia Kennedy advised officers her son had left her residence at 300 East State Street and needed help finding him. He was later located and was found to be okay.
3:38 pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at Vine and Lincoln Way Streets resulting in Nathan Lane of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
3:58 pm: Officers responded to 1216 Westwood Drive for a possible verbal argument. Everything was found to be okay.
4:36 pm: Betty Fetter reported a theft of a deep freeze from 407 North Grimmell Road.
10:21 pm: An officer was parked and running radar n the 300 Block of West Lincoln Way Street, when he was approached by a female on foot. The female spoke with the officer about problems between she and her husband. She advised if she went home, he would get hurt. The officer spoke to the husband and learned the female may have taken too many meds. The officer coaxed the female to ER to be evaluated.
10:18 pm: ER advised of a female present there who was advising of Domestic Abuse Assault from her boyfriend. Before the officer arrived, the female left ER and denied any assistance from ER Staff and law enforcement.
