The City of Perry wasn’t hit as hard by the pothole scourge this winter as other towns, but they certainly didn’t escape unscathed.
With that in mind, the Perry Public Works Department has already begun filling in some of the problem spots around the City. Public Works Director Jack Butler says they are using a “cold patch” to temporarily fix the potholes that were created during the severe winter weather events. He emphasizes that while it’s not a permanent solution, it will do the job until the City is ready to bring the hot mix up from their supplier in Des Moines.
Butler adds, while the street department is already aware of several potholes to fill, he encourages the public to let the City know if they see any other problem areas. To report a pothole, reach out to Perry City Hall at 515-465-2481.
