Whether you’re wanting a beach read, or something to listen to on your regular commute, your next favorite book could be waiting at the Stuart Public Library’s Annual Used Book Sale.
This is the third year the sale is being sponsored by the Stuart PALS, or People Active for Library Service. The sale will include a variety of paperback and hardcover books, audio books, movies, and CD’s that have been pulled from the library’s collection. All proceeds will go towards library expenses such as new books and materials for library programs.
Stuart PALS President Donna Olson thanks the Stuart Library Foundation, library staff, and the PALS members for their work toward making this sale a success, “We’re going to raise as much as we possibly can, we appreciate everybody’s support. Come and check it out, it is the greatest moneymaker, next to the Foundation’s Sweetheart Dance, that we have during the year for books.”
Book prices range from 25 cents to $2, with movies and CD’s priced for $1, and audio books for $5. Patrons can also fill a bag of books for $5. The sale will be held during library hours on March 21-23.
