The ADM boys soccer team officially began their season with opening day of practices on Monday. The team will look drastically different this year as the Tigers lost nine seniors to graduation following the 2018 season.
A quintet of seniors led the team in scoring and points last season. The 2018 senior class accounted for 44 of the team’s 55 goals and 42 of the team’s 50 points. In addition to the scoring, the Tigers have a hole to fill in goal as netminder TJ Klocke was the starter last year as a senior.
Offensively, sophomore Josh Pike led all Tiger underclassmen in scoring last season. He tallied four goals off twelve shots on goal. No other underclassmen scored more than two goals in ADM’s 15-3 season. Seniors Conner Chappell and Braidon Lee both saw brief time in the goal last year and are expected to compete for the starting job this season.
The Tigers open up competition on Monday, April 1st in a Raccoon River Conference showdown against the Carroll Tigers in Carroll.
