Friday, March 8th

3:40am: An officer assisted a motorist who became stuck in the snow in the 1200 Block of West Lincoln Way Street.

10:58am: A request for a Funeral Escort could not be completed as the officer was busy in court.

11:10am: Shannon McHugh requested a Welfare Check on a female at 102 East Clark Street. The officer made contact with the female and learned she was ill, but otherwise okay.

11:20am: A caller advised of two males selling make-up products door to door in town. The

officer located the subjects and advised them to register for sales at City Hall, which they did.

12:36pm: Chelsea Wittmack advised of a dead cat in the roadway in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer removed and disposed of the animal.

5:45pm: Wendy Taylor advised of snowmobiles driving through yards in the 700 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer did not locate them.

8:07pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of South Chestnut Street.

Saturday, March 9th

3:07am: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Mulberry Streets resulted in Emily Chiafos of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

3:46am: An officer checked the residence at 206 North Oak Street after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call from the residence.

8:17am: Omar Manship advised his company was repossessing a vehicle in the 600 Block of South Wilson Ave. He showed the proper paperwork to do so.

1:20pm: An officer checked on a 911 Hang Up Call from 107 North Olive Street. The officer learned that two juveniles were at the residence and had been involved in a disagreement. The officer worked to diffuse the issues between the siblings.

4:20pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 600 Block of South Wilson Ave. for, “Parked Facing Wrong Direction.”

4:24pm: Melanie Perin advised of a large pothole hidden under standing water in the 700 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer placed a reflective barrier over the pothole until the Streets Dept. can make repairs.

5:24pm: An officer was requested by a female at 1409 North Elm Street. The officer encountered a language barrier and requested assistance by phone from a Perry Officer. The officer learned the female has been having problems with a male co- worker at the restaurant. Nothing criminal had occurred, but the officer spoke to the owner, who advised he would take care of the issue.

9:19pm: A Traffic Stop at Washington and Locust Streets resulted in Jeffrey Anderson of Panora being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

10:31pm: A Traffic Stop in the 400 Block of South Elm Street resulted in Nery Agular Guevara of Des Moines being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

11:06pm: The Cobblestone Hotel advised of a vehicle parked in their drop off drive for two hours. The officer ran the registration and advised the business of the owner’s name.

Sunday, March 10th

1:05am: A Boone PD Officer requested a Jefferson Officer to speak with a Jefferson female who had been involved in an Assault in Boone. The officer made contact with the female, who advised she did not want any assistance from law enforcement.

9:47am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 200 Block of East Adams Street resulting in Nicholas Charlson of Churdan being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

11:12am: Dillan Bates advised of a possible dead American Bald Eagle on 220th Street, east of Jefferson. The officers located the bird and determined it to be a Pheasant.

5:21pm: A caller advised of a male juvenile throwing snowballs at buildings near Elm and Reed Streets. The officer located the juvenile and advised him to stop the behavior.

5:33pm: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 100 Block of East Lincoln Way Street for, “Parking in More Than One Space.”

7:04pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 200 Block of West Lincoln Way Street resulting in Brett Sommerfield of Glidden being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

7:23pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 1500 Block of North Elm Street resulting in Alysha Steece of Jefferson being cited for, “Dark Windows, and Driving While Suspended.”

9:41pm: A Traffic Stop was performed at 220th and Grimmell Road that resulted in Max Bly of Fort Dodge being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

9:58pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 307 East McKinley Street.
