Wednesday, March 6th
12:40am: An officer located an Open Door at 1002 North Cedar Street and secured the building.
1:46am: An officer assisted the Greene County Ambulance Service with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of South Chestnut Street.
8:11am: A Traffic Stop at South Elm and Russell Streets resulted in Jose Garcia Barrientos of MO. Being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
8:31am: Letitia Sutton reported a vehicle almost struck her as she walked in the crosswalk at the corner of State and Vine Streets. She gave a description of the vehicle to the officer. The officer checked with area banks and located that a camera had caught the event. The officer is working to identify the driver of the vehicle and speak to him.
1:10pm: Officers were called to the 100 Block of North Vine Street for an unresponsive female in a vehicle. The Greene County Ambulance Service transported the female to ER to be seen by a medical doctor. The officer located an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and a future charge is pending.
2:59pm: Lloyd Fetter requested an officer at 407 North Grimmell Road for a family dispute occurring at the residence. The officer assisted in mediating the issue.
3:39pm: An officer spoke to the owner of a truck, which has been parked in the City Parking Lot in the 100 Block of South Wilson Ave. for an extended period of time. City crews are unable to move snow properly in the lot with the truck in the way. The owner will move the vehicle in the future to allow the crews to clear snow in the lot.
5:16pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and South Streets resulted in Tyler Teeples of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
6:13pm: The GCMC reported a suspicious male attempting to gain entry to a rear door at the facility. The officer checked the area and did not locate anyone.
10:38pm: Deandra Lopez requested an officer at 308 North Pinet Street for issues with her adult son. The officer arrived and found the son to be intoxicated and arguing with his parents. The son left with his girlfriend to return home to Scranton and the problem ended.
