During last summers run to the Class 4A State championship game, 2018 Adel-Desoto-Minburn graduate Ashley Tennant led the Tigers varsity softball team with 15 home runs. Tennant, a freshman on the Marshalltown Community College Women’s Softball team, is once again showing off her power hitting. In her first three collegiate softball games in Rochester Minnesota on February 17, Tennant recorded three hits including a pair of home runs. Her first career hit was a solo shot in MCC’s 15-2 victory over the College of Lake County Lancers. Tennant’s second outing saw her drive in three runs on a home run and a double in a 12-4 setback against Ellsworth Community College. Weather permitting, Tennant and the Marshalltown Community College Softball team resumes their season in Trenton, Missouri this Tuesday, facing North Central Missouri College in a doubleheader.
